3 Practical and Super Simple Ways To Use Rose Geranium Oil For Skin Care

3 simple blends using rose geranium essential oil

rose-geranium-oil-vertical2Rose Geranium Oil can give you that much-needed pick-me-up when you’re doing your facial routine. I have found it to be both comforting and uplifting and is the perfect oil for my sensitive, dry, and sometimes combination (aka. confused) skin.

If you’re looking for a similar feeling and have similar skin, following are some ways rose geranium can help your skin look fantastic, while giving your mood a nice boost!

In addition to be great for people with normal, dry and combination it will also help to prevent and treat acne.

Here are 3 ways you can use it to help your skin! Enjoy.

1. A moisturizer for dry and combination skin

Blend: Place 1-2 drops of rose geranium in 4oz har of homemade or unscented cream.

If you’re making a homemade cream, Argan oil is a good oil to include in the blend because it’s suitable for all skin types.

*If you’re not making a cream and need something really quick, you can place 3 drops in 4 oz of Argan Oil. Feel free to add more argan oil if you feel any stinging when you apply the blend to your face.

2. A soothing aftershave blend

Blend for the ladies: Mix 1 drop of Rose Geranium and 1 drop Bergeptine-free Bergamot with a quarter-drop of jojoba carrier oil for a post-shave treatment. It keeps the skin super soft, AND really helps with the itch and ingrown hairs

This be used on pretty much any part of the body – face, legs, armpits, and even some of the moreBer sensitive parts on your body.

Blend for the fellas: Combine 2 drops of rose geranium with 1 drop of Bergeptine-free Bergamot into 4oz of witch hazel. It’ll help with the itching and also ingrown hairs. If you want a more manly scent, add 1 drop of Cedarwood essential oil.

3. A balm for bruises

If you mix Calendula oil with Rose Geranium oil in a balm made with beeswax you’ll have a natural treatment to help bruises heal a little more quickly.

To make a balm, blend 1 part beeswax to 2 parts calendula oil. For a tiny 1oz container you’ll only need 1-2 drops of geranium.

You can use my lip balm recipe to make the balm. Just use Calendula oil in place of the other oils included in my recipe. > Go see my lip balm recipe here.

Rose Geranium Essential Oil and Your Mood

PMS
Are you a gal who suffers from the symptoms of PMS? If so, its ability to uplift yet soothe makes it useful for the “mood issues” surrounding that “time-of-the-month”.

For even more effect make a liquid perfume or perfume balm or use a distiller to fill your home and body with it.

General Stress
Despite the fact this blend includes Rose, it doesn’t have floral scent. It actually has a musky and citrus’y undertone. What’s great about this is that both men and women can benefit from using this oil.
